For example, if your financial resolution is to pay off $ 10,000 in credit card debt, calculate how much you have to pay each month to reach that goal, says Hubble. Then focus on this little piece.
Find a responsible partner
Find someone to discuss your resolution with. A spouse, roommate, friend or coworker can guide and encourage you. It is especially important to consult with a partner with whom you share the finances.
“If their goals aren’t aligned or if they don’t support what you’re trying to achieve, it’s going to make things a lot more difficult,” Porter said.
