If audio is an important part of your content, you can easily share computer audio in your Zoom meetings. When you share audio, you create a professional and immersive experience for your Zoom participants.
While there are two ways to do this, let’s take a look at the most common way to share audio in Zoom first.
- To get started, you must first start or join a new meeting in Zoom.
- Then go to the meeting toolbar and click Share screen.
- Select a window or an application that you want to share. You will find three options, and you can choose from Basic, Advanced, and Files.
- Once you are done sharing your screen, window, or whiteboard from the Basic option, you can click Following in the Zoom toolbar.
- To choose Share the sound from the drop-down list, and you’re good to go.
This method is the most commonly preferred and works great with Zoom screen sharing. However, there is another easy way to access it.
2. How to share audio on Zoom using a single click
If you are looking for a faster way to share computer audio in Zoom, this method should be your ideal option in between. It’s almost a shortcut and the easiest, if you ask us.
- Start or join a Zoom meeting.
- Click on Share screen, and you will be prompted to select a window or screen to share.
- Click on the Share audio option that you will find at the bottom left of the dialog box.
You cannot share audio if you are using a smartphone
It is easy to play background music in Zoom, but it only works when you are using your computer or laptop.
If you are attending or leading the Zoom meeting from your phone, chances are you won’t be able to share audio unless you are also logged into a computer at the same time.
