Governor Greg Abbott today announced that the Texas Music Office (TMO) and Visit McAllen will be co-hosting a Virtual Music Friendly Community Workshop on Tuesday, June 29. Chip Adams, Community Relations and Outreach Specialist, will co-host the workshop via livestream to represent TMO, answer questions and speak about the Music Friendly Community program.

Participation in TMO’s Music Friendly Community program provides communities in Texas with a network to foster the development of the music industry and sends a clear message to industry professionals that certified communities are serious about attracting and developing growth. of the music industry. The McAllen workshop is the first step in the certification process. Once completed, McAllen will join over 20 other Texas cities that have achieved the coveted “Music Friendly” designation.
